How to Use Advanced Features on Department Printers

For PC Users:

 

1. Use Win (Windows Logo Key) + R Keyboard shortcut to bring up the Run Dialogue box 

 

 

2. Enter \\papercutprint.trevecca.int\  and click OK or press Enter 

 

 

3. Double-click the appropriate department printer. The printer name can be found on the display at the printer. (If the specific printer isn’t available, please contact the Helpdesk). 

 

 

TNU-Print: Prints everywhere on campus using standard features but only allows you to select between Black & White and Color printing.

 

 

To access advanced features on a department printer:

 

1. Select the printer added above to print directly

 

2. Select a paper tray source on the computer before clicking print

 

3. Select all appropriate settings for your print job

 

4. Click 'OK' to send the job to the printer

 

 

 

For Macs Users:

 

1. Open Printers and Scanners 

 

2. Click “Add Printer” 

 

3. Click “Advanced”.

 

  • If Advanced isn’t an option, right-click on the icons. 
  • Click “Customize Toolbar” 
  • Drag “Advanced” to the jiggle toolbar. 
  • Click “Done” 

 

4. Make sure your settings match the below options: 

  • Type: Windows printer via spools 
  • Device: Another Device 
  • URL: smb://papercutprint.trevecca.int/<printer-name>
  • Name: <printer-name>. The printer name can be found on the display at the printer.
  • Use: Select Software - Xerox C8135 
    • If Xerox C8135 isn’t installed, install the Xerox Printer Drivers from the Jamf Self-Service application. 

 

5. Click “Add”
