The teacher workstation has a touch screen LCD labeled "CRESTRON". If the screen is dark, press firmly anywhere on the Crestron screen to turn it on.

Next Generation Classrooms 

 

 

To Turn On Display 

• Press the activity button on the left side of the Crestron Touch panel that you would like to use. This will automatically turn on the projector or display and descend the screen, but it may take up to 60 seconds before image appears.  

• When finished, press System Off and press Yes to confirm. This will turn off the workstation and raise the screen. 

 

 

To Show Computer on Projector/Display 

• Press the PC button on the Crestron touch panel. If the monitors do not turn on in front of you, press the power button on the monitor to ensure it is turned on.  

• If nothing comes on, look in the cabinet and make sure the PC is turned on. If not, press the power button on the PC. 

• If it does come on, log in with your Trevecca credentials. (Make sure the Domain is set to GARDEN) 

• If you are unable to log in or unable to turn on the monitor or PC, please call the Helpdesk at 615-248-1223 

 

 

To Show Laptop on Projector/Display 

• Connect laptop to the HDMI cable. The cable only fits one way in one slot, so please do not force the cable. If it does not plug in easily, you probably have it in the wrong spot. 

• Press the Laptop button on the Crestron screen. 

• If the image does not appear once the laptop is connected, try pressing the Fn key at the bottom of your laptop keyboard in conjunction with F2, F5 or F8 to get the VGA or HDMI display working. 

• If those buttons do not work, restart your laptop with the HDMI cable connected. 

• Follow the on screen instructions to connect wirelessly.  

 

 

To Adjust Sound Volume Levels 

• To mute/unmute the volume, press the Mute button under the Program Volume slider. You will know it is on mute when the button is yellow. 

• To adjust the volume up or down, press the up and down arrows on the Program volume slider. 

 

 

To Link Boone 104 to 102 or Boone 108 to 106 

• Press the Link to Boone 102 or 104 button on the Crestron touch screen.  

• The adjoining rooms display will turn on and switch to the feed from the "Master Classroom" This would be Boone 104 or 108 depending on which room you are standing in.  

 

 

To Blank the Screen 

• Press the Video Mute or Blank Screen button on the Crestron touch panel to temporarily hide the projector video. Restore the video display by pressing it again. 

 

 

To Turn Off Everything 

• Press and hold the System Off button and then click Yes to turn off the video system. 

• If you are in linked mode, this action will unlink the rooms and turn off the other room's display.
