This guide will demonstrate the correct settings for the Panopto Recorder in rooms equipped with a Logitech Brio Webcam in the ceiling.

This guide assumes the user has a base understanding of Panopto.

  1. Log into the Teacher Workstation PC using your Trevecca Credentials. Note: If the PC seems to be off, you may need to turn it on. It is located in the equipment rack below the Keyboard tray.
  2. Open the Panopto Recorder by either clicking the green swirl icon located on the desktop or directly from your Blackboard class. Note: If you are prompted to update Panopto, please do so by following the on-screen instructions. After class, please contact ITS so a technician can permanently apply the update.
  3. Log into Panopto with your Trevecca Credentials
  4. Select the correct sources. The Panopto settings can be changed via the drop-down options below the primary video window. For correct operation, normal classroom Settings should look like the picture below.

  1. Set Your Video Destination
  • If you opened your Panopto session via your Blackboard class, your session information is already set.

  • If you did not sign in via your Blackboard class, or you are not recording to a Blackboard session you can enter the session information manually.

  • Please use the video linked here for detailed information about setting up a Panopto Session. https://support.panopto.com/s/getting-started-video?topic=Record+A+Video

  1. Record and Stream by pressing the red record button to start your session.
